![]() I'm pretty sure that there's a menu option to find out what chapter you're on (somewhere on the map?), if not, go to the main menu and look at your save game, because I know for sure that it tells you there. ![]() The missions are roughly ordered starting with the ones that you can only complete earlier in the game, so make sure you get those done first, but don't neglect the higher numbered missions either, some are multi-parters best started early. Any cards, quests, and unique items that you collect in replay mode carry over, but you have to play the entire chapter to completion in one go, and saving is disabled, so you'll want to avoid doing this. You can take a quest in one chapter and leave it for a later one, but if you miss the last chapter to complete it you'll have to replay a chapter from the main menu. Keep in mind that there are some gaps, for example 04-06, 08 means that I can do the quest in chapters 4, 5, 6, and 8, but not 7. We love a good redemption arc.Bah, amateurs! Every sidequest lists the chapters in which you can both take and complete it. It made me cry like a baby and it also has some of the best LGBT+ rep I've ever seen in a video game, which is fuckin, bizarre from the guy who wrote some of the stuff in Deadly Premonition. It is a genuinely great game I can recommend without reservation. What I will tell you, however, is if you enjoyed this game at all (or even if you didn't, honestly), go play THE MISSING, one of SWERY's more recent games. Is there a theoretical good version of Deadly Premonition that would exist if it had an actual budget? I honestly don't know. It's completely removed from the overt cynicism and bleakness of something like a Heavy Rain. It's just so unapologetically what it is that I can't bring myself to hate it. but I also love it in a totally genuine way too. It's such a trainwreck." And, you know, you're not. Unironically! There are a lot of people who play DP and go "oh man, this is terrible, but it's so bad it's good. One of the very first scenes in the game is York observing the Forrest doll That's why his scar is commented on so much, despite appearing to the player as not that noticable Map is shaped like him and some other nonsense that implies he is Forrest's "handler"Įveryone sees York as Zach the entire game. You can't peek into George's house like most other characters. Also George's scars get more distinguished after each killing. George's license plate also loosely implies he's the killer. Red trees are found at George's house, the graveyard, the police station, and Kaysen carries one around. Red trees point towards the baddies from the very start. Xander, York, and Zach are all at the end of the alphabet ![]() ![]() With the baddies being Forest and George, their letters follow the victims. The victims of the case are Anna, Becky, Carol, Diane, and Emily, covering the first 5 letters. The game does some alphabet nonsense, all major characters make up the entire alphabet with the first letter of the name. A competition series between Northernlion, MALF, and Dan.
