If I had planned to ditch the food I would of never came back to be humiliated and embarrassed in front of the waitresses and Customers. He was rude, disrespectful and there is certainly racism going on starting at the top and has trickled down to the employees. I have had many meetings and introduced many people to this diner, the shorter manager with the glasses has always welcomes us without a racist attitude but that man was such a racist coward and couldn’t understand a word he was saying. I came back to let them know it was my error but then the this man came out and said I’m not serving you I sold your food already get out of here don’t come back. So apparently I was reading the wrong diners menu. Couldn’t get internet service so I told her I have to pull off so I can check the menu on my phone. The waitress went to the owner or manager with a discrepancy about the bill. The racism that is displayed towards costumers of color is disgraceful. We will never eat at the Red Line Diner again. We normally tip higher, but she needs to be trained in how to serve a meal. We followed with our request for a full refund and left a 15% percent tip for the waitress. Then he offered us a discount on the meal which is a first for us. He had a passive aggressive attitude and questioned if we had eaten the burger. When we informed him quietly of how unpleasant our experience was, he pointed to his manager who was working the register. We believe we approached the owner as he asked us how our meal was. The burger we ordered was as tough as a frisbee and when we pointed this out, she presented us with a check that included the hamburger that was not eaten. The waitress basically threw the plates in front of us, and the order was not complete. Although the wait was short at their busiest lunch hour we were seated by the bathrooms and kitchen area. We have dined at this diner on many occasions. It was an unfortunate dining experience at the Red Line Diner on Route 9. It was very sweet and rich and I loved it! My best advice for this place is to go for dessert! More Our desserts, however, were fantastic! We had the Oreo Cheesecake and the the Brownie Cheesecake respectively, and tell you it’s worth the trip to this diner! I splurged and got one of those horseshoe shaped almond with chocolate dipped cookie pastry for breakfast the next morning. My husband had the Chipotle chicken sandwich and said it was okay. The salad was very good, but I was a little disappointed with the Spanakopita, as I expected it to be homemade with the flakey crust after to seeing the bakery dessert case. I had the Spinach Pie appetizer as my meal. I didn’t realize that breakfast was served all day or I may have opted for that. offers just about anything you can think of, American, Mexican, Greek, etc. My mouth started watering as soon as I walked in the door and saw the dessert case full of cheesecakes and other offerings.
